The 9 line in the '40s and '50s was operating from Lincoln Park to 48th and Crenshaw. The following photo is on the southern end of the line. Between Hoover Street and Normandie Ave. the 9 line operated on a private right of way, as we see in this photo. West of Normandie Ave. the line operated in 48th St. (which no longer has a public transit service).
